.NET Domains
When the .NET universal top-level domain extension was initially established in 1985, together with the first domain extensions on the web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Since there were no specific rules about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were purchased and used for various purposes and by quite a few people. This extension is a great substitution for dot COM, especially if the desired domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.
Booking a dot NET domain with our company is as easy as pie and takes no more than a couple of minutes, as we work with an ICANN-approved registrar. You can book such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already possess a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are not locked and that you possess an EPP transfer key – security measures established by the Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily alter the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don't wish this information to be public at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to get your true contact info.
The .NET top-level extension supports internationalized names, so you can pick if you want to target a specific country or region using a domain name in the native language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
.NET Domains with wcec
If you are looking for a new home for your .NET domains, the Domain Manager interface that we provide would be a really good choice. Being both user-friendly and fully featured, it enables you to exert complete control over all domain management duties. You can change all basic DNS settings with only a mouse-click and modify the WHOIS data associated with your domains without difficulty. If you have many domains, controlling all of them from the exact same place is not only possible, but it is in fact quite simple.
Also, when you have a hosting account here, you then are already aware that, aside from the Domain Manager itself, our Web Hosting Control Panel has a site management section too. In this way, you are able to seamlessly switch between the two, without having to make use of several Control Panels or to get familiar with different interfaces.
